@Agaton, Gosh it had me worried. With no manual to go by it took me while to figure out you need to remove the suspension first. For some reason they used these bolts. They fit prefect but damn its bit woes Had few hours so managed to take it apart and concentrate on electronics - New caps...

Kenwood #1 found in garage.. I went to buy the tonearm and guy insisted I take the other part... All the wires were knawed off by rats, connectors missing. I got it to a point where it switched on and turning, but somehow the speed wrong and cant be set And finally I found its cousin in CT...

My Day didnt get better at all.... in fact.... TX-1000 - Still DEAD. Redid the power supply caps. They sure were old. Checked all the transistors, diodes, bridges. All fin. Plugged it in. Only the Standby comes one...excitement fell away quickly when it didnt switch anything on..... Gosh what...
