Thanks Gents, I've also looked at the ground zero setup. Again, designed to install in this specific car. But now amplification also become important, the price goes up (at R11k already) and now I'm getting worried that the car is going to be molested to the point that MP might be affected...

Put a diode across R1, cathode going to V+. This would discharge the cap quickly so that you dont have a shorter response when you have a power dip.
