The software on the Stream is really good. I can no longer hear any audible difference using ROON or Tidal Connect, I think that is praise indeed.

I have secondary HiFi with a Rotel and Monitor audio silver setup and am very happy with it. You do need some decent power to get the best out of the bigger monitor speakers so the 991 should be perfect.

Do you get the 200mps speed when do a speedtest? I have 20mps fibre line using a PC&DAC configuration streaming the Tidal Masters service and have no buffering problems. I use it almost daily so Tidal service shouldn't be the issue probably either a hardware or ISP challenge.
