Yup, Hein makes some brilliant stuff. I have been a customer of his entry level items for a while now. When I have equipment worthy of the more shiny metal and more exotic woods, Hein will be the go to.

Forgot to update this thread. The tv was replaced with little fuss from Samsung. The new tv is much better but I think going forward my tv purchases will be limited to a series 8 or 9 and the equivalent in other brands.

Thats an interesting setup. I am curious as to why two sets of speakers though? Was it a case of using what you have or trying something different? @naboo Those Jamo speakers have been mentioned here before. Think its a discontinued model. I was keen on a pair for my desk top

Jumping on an old thread here but is Herman Miller still the go to for office chairs? My home office chair is falling apart and its a heavily used one I got from my previous employer around the time this thread was created.

Appreciate the sentiment. I think because this is purely a hobby and I enjoy music much more than the listening experience ( even tv speakers playing music is enough to bring a smile), I am happy to keep a very open mind on brands and experimenting. All part of the enjoyment and learning...

Yup, I fully agree with your thought process as the science is with you, but working with what I have in the space I have, I am happy with the current status. To add a sub would be the next logical progression, but that is only after I have spent a lot of time reading about how best to do that...

Pretty much what Koogs has said. The bass produced is very adequate. There has been occasion or two when I felt a particular song could have done with a bit more bass, but that was just fleeting.
