Thanks for all the input. SB's do seem to be receiving pretty favourable feedback from people in the know. However, it seems most are running an external DAC, plus you still need a PC switched on somewhere. I finally bought the ARCAM MS250 - the rest of my system is in the same Arcam FMJ range...

Ok - who can I talk to about buying NAS's and external DAC's please. These are a bit beyond my current repertiore of understanding.

Forgot to mention - I don't want to be running a pc in another room just so that I can stream music to my hi-fi!! Then I may as well just buy a laptop and plug it into the hi-fi?? That the shortcoming with the Sonos and Squeezebox - they need a pc running. Multi-room functionality is optional...
