    Life changing experiences

With so many things happening around us, family, country, work, it seems in my life, my main system has taken a back seat and even had the weird decision to sell it.  Thank goodness I snap out of that. I have decided to to minimize my life and put main system in storage for later use as to get...

    Keep left, pass right

Coming back from Portugal where fast lane is left, so much respect for the locals, pass and get back into your slow lane immediately.  I have given up locally.

    Interesting measurement on Solar

I had a mishap today as the feed from the Solar Panels were high and my connecting cable was not ample and it blew. I lost the PVE (Solar panels) and measure the usage on my main feeder system outside. Then I fixed the feed and measured again after a longer time window.  Results are The 1kW is...

    Anyone lived in Qatar?

I go there at least 3 times a year seem to have a total different experience.  A top executive at Capitec Bank must protect his job here not? I would like to get the detail if possible as there is a group on Facebook called 'South Africans in Portugal helping South Africans' and those who have...

    EFT payment delays

Agreed... the new APP only banks are going to kill the old banking 'systems'

    EFT payment delays

You have to apply for it specifically and ground through 'approval', stupid I say

    EFT payment delays

I have found the same with SBSA, worst ever. Also the immediate payment then rip you with some extra $ is just another money making scheme

    Inverters - Some Q&A

I think about 60K at the moment and it is so great I am going to add another inverter for parallel running and possibly a big lithium-ion bank, need to look at that as a 12kVA is about 55K

    Inverters - Some Q&A

This is what I see during load shedding.  Have 12 265W solar panels running into an Axpert 5kVA with 4 x 260Ah at the moment. During the day I have my servers and wifi running fully off solar while charging batteries at the same time.

    So loadshedding is back

We had a 33kVA down due to stress on feeder cables having shorts... was down for 18 hours now 4 hours off 4 hours on So much time wasted
