Swinging Linn LP12 for Technics SL-1200G

Don't you need a Cirkus level bearing for the Majik sun-chassis upgrade? My attraction to the 1200G is more to do with it's top class speed regulation from the new direct drive motor system. With the Linn it feels as if you are fixing engineering problems with the upgrades that should never...

Swinging Linn LP12 for Technics SL-1200G

Have you seem what a Cirkus bearing upgrade cost these days? Linn has complete gone off their rocker. Actually, their pricing left sanity quite a while ago.

Swinging Linn LP12 for Technics SL-1200G

Am I mad? Or is this a worthwhile move? My LP-12 is lovingly restored with an updated PSU and with the Linn Ittok arm.

    Geco porn

Since when does constructive critique get turned into ridicule. I have had enough of this. Mods, please close my account.  I will rather take part of a community where one is treated as a grown-up.

    Geco porn

Guys, just one comment.  I get the feeling that whenever a member provides some constructive criticism, he gets pounced upon by some members of this forum and his ideas gets rubbished in a derogatory manner, instead of discussing them as adults and members of a close-knit community do. I will...

BTW, great job guys.  Looks really good, though I would have prefered a nice 10mm thick naturally anodised Alu faceplate.  But I understand that some okes like wooden faceplates. Just a note:  cut that bolt going through the toroidal shorter, then it will look perfect.

    GM Eagle Canyon

Well, that is what you get when you buy a Daewoo, which is really what this is.  The worst of the Koreans.  I will personally never ever buy another GM product after my Opel Astra debacle.  That car game me more crap than any of my other cars, and it was bought new while all my other cars were...

Advice Required On Basic Electronic Repair Tools

Don't worry Vishen.  I have been dreaming for so long to have a decent DSO.  So finally last year I decided to close my eyes and take part of my Dec bonus and to just get it.  My wife still don't know what it really cost me.  Hope to soon get a decent Signal Genny and Lab PSU.  Also quite pricy...

    Whats on the TT...

Mine is in excellent condition.  I also got Brilliant Trees, which is not in such a good condition.  Then I got Mange Tout from Blancmange; Architecture And Morality and Dazzle Ships from OMD.  The Dazzle Ships is almost mint, the other one very good condition.

I paid R14k for it from the local supplier, but you should be able to land it for cheaper if you buy from over the sea.

If ever you get the oscilloscope, get the Rigol DS2072A.  The firmware is hackable to run up to 300MHz. http://www.rigol.com/prodserv/281/

    New PC Build Advice Needed

Definitely get a 256G SSD drive.  Also I advise on getting the ASUS GeForce GTX970, very good value for money and will support DX12.  Get either a Z97 or X99 mobo. Processor, i5 or i7, no big issue really.  Get a good PSU. I am currently building a gamer PC for the boys: ASRock Z97 Extreme6...
