I ended up getting the Klipsch. Try Audio Excellence as well, they have quite a few brands. Nicely stacked next to one another, so it makes it rather interesting when trying to compare. I looked at the Polk, but didn't know at  the time where I could demo them.

Thought I would it update this alittle.  Gave the whole system a good work out last night and today, with some minor adjustments - I just want to create a nice airflow around the amps - system sounded great and everything ran at very nice temperature levels. Nothing excessive.

What I can say for sure is that when I have my preamp on top of my power amp, the amp gets considerably hotter. It really is that noticable.  I reckon spacers might work, I should experiment alittle
