I stream wirelessly to a Squeezebox Touch.as a roon endpoint I sends spdif to the Trinnov For this comparison , I also used the SB's Toslink output to my Dirac box Trinnov and dirac box digital outputs plugged into my devialet so switching between Dirac or trinnov is as simple as changing inputs

Get a car with a good ABS system Otherwise stop braking and steer into the skid till you get steering and then brake...if you can , its not intuitive , most folk slam on more brake and steer the opposite to the skid which makes things worse

low bass is omnidirectional , but above 80hz or so its somewhat  locateable .. so long as you cross your subs over quite  lower than that it might work..maybe... HOWEVER I would never suspend a sub from a ceiling , structurally speaking....

There is a model up from mine..the Amethyst which has more i/o and a phono stage and can stream from all manner of things and formats..roon sees it as an endpoint.. Its GBP 9000 however...EINA Does exactly the same correction of the ST2 ..and i dont need preamp or dac or phone stage and dont...

Its pretty easy to use ..sort of. I use an old ipad as a remote/controller..works a charm , you can also attach a screen and kb/mouse to the unit itself ..but thats a pain. the unit has its own VNC server built in Why do I say sort of ..well you have to be puter and to some extent acoustically...

You have less ambient noise overlaying the signal.. especially important if you listen at lower volumes.. has nothing to do with how loud you CAN listen at .. which is a function of power and speaker sensitivity , ambient noise is a constant. The bigger the difference between average and peak...
