Thanks for the valuable input from everyone. I took Cuco's advise and invested in a better DAC. Thanks to Dhiveshan for Mytek! There is already a huge difference in quality and the CTH is now driving the 6XX and LCD2 with authority. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong running through the SDAC...

Hi Gavinbirss That Gilmore amp is very, very highly reviewed. Will keep that on my radar too. Yeah, I haven't taken the dip with balanced cables yet, but I'll keep that for later. It's nice to have incremental improvements. Cheers Cheers
