I have the 2010 Yamaha aventage. Think it can take wifi. Why do I need to controle the server, can you view the server (files/folders) through the avr and use the tv as a monitor...? I can brows everything on a memory stick with the avr remote.....if that can help.

Kinky, Just got mine and decided that I want to use it for everything I can. So then I will need a graphics card that support a hdmi. Then, the freenas, can you download or do you have to buy it......don't like to copy, copy righted stuff.

I am also looking for a projector and everybody adviced me on the Optoma HD83 or the HD33 I think. But Optoma is apparently the best.

IMO if you can not put everything on HDMI then don't use it at all. Use only optical with RCA. If I'm correct optical is for sound only and not for video. :thinking:
