Best surround and rear speaker types

I have the RS-42 II Surround Speaker in my main setup. Would say it is a two-way...driver and tweeter. The performance is amazing. Even when i set to 9ch stereo on my avr for rugby they are clear and they bring live to music, excellent. Best i heard in a long time... Just saying...two-way works...

    unmatched subs

I have a 10" and a 8". Set my 10 to 100MHz and the 8" to 60MHz. All speakers to small. I would set the 12 in front and the 8 next to where you sit at the back. You will get fuller base, so your room will be filled with base. just play with position and settings till you can hear and feel what...

    Rear Speaker cabling

Can you run them through the ceiling...? or then, put it right through the wall into the adjacent room and then back again on the speaker position. Normally you have your equipment in an area where allot of people go through. I have a scullery on the left and my study cupboard on the right...

Subwoofer choice, why and wot to listen for

my opinion is to buy a good sub that will last you a long time. If it is to powerfull just turn it down. But when you replace your floorstanders you will need a better sub, especially for music. Nice AVR you have so you can drive relatively nice floorstanders. Energy / Velodine....10"

    Surge Protectors/UPS

You get n lightning protection plug. This really work well and they are about R1k with 4 x 3 point plugs and 4 x 2 point plugs. They also have connections for your DSTV. This with an decent UPS and you will be ok. Still in heavy weather - unplug everything.

Anybody know when LG is launching their new cinema 3d TV's (LM range) in SA?

Why not a 50" or 55", 47" is a bit small for my setup. Very pretty and sexy monitor though.....can be a MUST HAVE for the bedroom......
