I didn't buy anything but was disappointed in the product especially after seeing all the comments on them. Did someone else miss it? Is it a once off boo boo? Or did I just expect too much?

Agree, and yes, not so easy. Last weekend I looked at a product at an Audio shop. There's a lot of hype about it lately but I wasn't impressed by it at all as the craftsmanship is not so good that it justifies the price. But how to tell the manufacturer without stepping on toes, hurting feelings...

If a supplier posts a product they just released and ask people's opinions on the forum, then he must also be able to take some negative comments on the forum.
