This veneer is giving me head aches... Its all done but there are a few chips on some of the edges. I can fix it but still annoying... I finished the one base for the grill and will cover it tomorrow. AND start doing the varnishing [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

Take a small piece of 5mm thick mild steel (2cm x 4cm), drill and tap m3/m4/m5 on the right side and 2x  5mm holes on the left side. Mount this piece of metal inside the baffle using the 5mm holes with wood screws.  The machine screw hole can then be used for fixing the speaker to the box...

I am using a American Walnut veneer. I tried to position the veneer so the grain pattern shows more. A bit difficult where the drivers are placed but seems like I got it right. And the very bottom piece is a piece of Sleeper wood I thought looked really nice once I had it cleaned - wire brush on...

One done and only 2 small vertical chamfers to go then all veneering is complete! Then only varnish and assembly to go [emoji33][emoji16] Its so close to being done I can taste the sound :rubhands: :groovy: Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

I am winging it...  :pray: Lots of glue (to fill the irregularities) and a lot of clamping force... But this was all just being impatient and using too much pressure with the sanding bloack and setting the eccentric sander to hyperspeed with 240grit paper.  :baseball: I'll use less force and...

Managed to sneak in some time to work on the speakers. Fitting magnets to go behind the veneer And veneering: First time I have ever done veneering and I must say, I am happy with the results thus far  :Whoohoo: Next weekend I want to finish the veneering!    :angrywife:
