Apologies... I didn't see this. I would definitely advise giving this a go. It is designed to make your speakers work regardless of the room they are in - sure you may get better results in different rooms but this will assist in getting the best possible sound with your speakers in your room...

This should go without saying but may be a possibility - have you checked to make sure that the speakers have been hooked up correctly and are in phase? Positive to positive and negative to negative?
