From my PC the multichannel audio is not a problem. The problem is the multichannel from my PS3, as I use this for a Blu-Ray player, 2D and 3D. Getting an adapter for HDMI to multichannel is about R2000 from ebay, which is not worth it. Alternatively I can get a Blu-ray player for my PC, but...

Went to Dion Wired to listen to those Marantz combos for sale, not that impressed actually. My current speakers actually sound pretty awesome, it is just the decoding that is giving me headaches. Would love to buy a 7.2 receiver, but then I'm short 1 speaker, obviously I cannot source one...

The 2 combo deals they have seems like a real good deal. Trying to sell my old 6.2 system cheaply.

Does anyone have experience with Marantz receivers? I see the Marantz NR1402 is on special at Dion Wired for R3500, and it does sound pretty damn awesome. Although, anything sounds better than my current amp :(

I'm gonna wait till the new year for my purchases, as there is always delivery issues this time of year. Hopefully that online price will still be available then. Either way, I hope for some kind of deal. Hopefully from one of the sellers on the forum, as they have been very very helpful so far.

Good question, I would like to know as well. I'm still considering the STXfor a start, but I'm unsure. The Musiland Monitor 02 and the STX is priced similar at the moment.

I've had a look at the Xonar Essence STX, which seems like the perfect option for most PC users, but you don't have the portability of an external device.I will have to get the add on card for my 5.1 Z5500 speakers as well. Which headphones are you using?

Dang, that's awesome. Hopefully I can get the Musiland imported myself as Gert is not going to at the moment. Will post a thread later on for one of them, something similar or maybe if Gert decides to build more :) Think for now, a Dac and proper Headphones will keep me happy for a while.
