What are you hoping to achieve with the change? Brighter, more laid back ? If more laid back, have a look at the Sylvania 6SN7GTB. It's often described as a more relaxed sound than the stock ones.

At one stage I had plugged my Roon server into a 10/100 port on the network and couldn't understand why my scans were so slow. I nearly went out and upgraded it  :facepalm: The 10/100 has since left the building

Thats for sure. It looks like their power amps are still in testing. I read an article where they did a show and the power amps didn't play so nicely on heavy loads. That said what I really appreciate about them is that they haven't rushed it to market and are making sure that its right first.

If they put a jotty inside together with a yggy. They would sell more. One for each room in your house :)

Correct many folk complaining about a company who is known for their hp amps to have not included a built in hp amp.

The hardware still has relevance. For me the biggest charm is that its plug and play. You can build your own endpoints using a PI or a C2 but by the time you done (board, dac, case, psu, mem card, wifi dongle) you are close to R2k, certainly with a C2. If you don't shut your squeezebox down...

I can second those HD650's They were my first real cans and I used a little dot 3. The 650s are a warmer sound than the 600's, I enjoyed the 650's with female vocals but always wanted a bit more energy when it came to rock e.g. dire straights. Try and demo the 2.
