    Hook earphones

Hi all I am looking for hook earphones with or without the round the neck part to use while running. Bluetooth would be nice but not necessary as long as the cord is a decent length. I can spend around R1500. Any recomendations. They do need to produce reasonable bass. Not too much but it should...

Advice on an audio setup for an open plan TV room

I don't know where you are based or the speakers but if possible I would give the elacs on the forum a listen, you should also give some Yamaha a chance before replacing it, I am still running yamaha's and love them.

Am I biting off more than I can chew, speakers and amp as a school project?

Communica electronics is near the Samrand offramp, you could probably buy some cheap 4" drivers and amplifier kits from them. definately do-able.

Help needed polishing scratches out of plastic!

For heavier scratches you use the very fine sandpaper used for polishing paint on cars. I think it is 2000 grit and then finish off with brasso and then silvo.

    Quad 2905 vs LOUD

@BJ I think my amp handles the load very well and does not get warm much, someone in an earlier post recons the speaker protection effectively shorts the amp and then the amp goes into its own protection and shuts down. I am trying to put a holiday trip together to Capetown this year with...

    Quad 2905 vs LOUD

Thanks for the input guys, I am going to stick with the Quads for a while and just keep the volume lower :2thumbs:. They really are fantastic sounding speakers and I don't want to get rid of them yet. I may set them up in a seperate room so that I can have the best of both worlds, I guess it...

    Quad 2905 vs LOUD

Hi Guys I've created a difficult problem for myself due to upgradeitis, I recently purchased a set of Quad 2905 speakers on the forum and am driving them using an Emotiva XPA5 capable of 300W with only 2 channels driven. The quads are tripping the Emotiva as soon as the volume gets anywhere...
