    Lens suggestions for Canon

Here's an interesting comparison purely around native image quality (so no features taken into consideration) on consumer level Nikon & Canon models for potential buyers. http://www.photoacademy.co.za/page.php?44

    Dedicated Stereo - Speaker Preference?

have to agree, phenominal standmounts available if you can spend a bit. Has anyone gone through the process of setting up 2 subs in aid of integration? Does the theory ring true or do you end up with twice the frustration?

    Dedicated Stereo - Speaker Preference?

Yeah, the controversy.... My experience = got rid of my Jamo C603's and Wharfedale SW150 (don't laugh, this sub rocks for the price) in favour of Castle Knight 5 floorstanders mostly due to frustration with integrating the sub. Mostly listen to blues, accoustic & rock and prefer the presence...

    Mede8er File Set-up help please

I've ripped my cd's using Windows Media Player and then transferred across to Mede8er HD. Issue is I'm not able to view music by Artist, Album etc. on the Mede8er... Any advice on this please? Is there a specific file structure I have to use to enable this feature?

    McIntosh Integrated Amplifiers

Thanks, avoiding frustrating back-up issues would be the sensible thing to do...I've noticed that VA has quite a following, never had the privilege of experiencing any of their amps, will definitely check it out.

    McIntosh Integrated Amplifiers

Thanks for the advice, appreciate it. I understand the issues around service back-up etc but everytime I try and retire my old Mac, it takes but a week before its hooked up again and the new piece of kit makes its way into the classifieds...Just haven't found anything that has a similar warmth...

    McIntosh Integrated Amplifiers

Is there anybody on the forum who owns McIntosh MA6300 or MA6900 or any other modern McIntosh integrated amp? I'm wanting to retire my C26 Pre and MC250 power and thinking of going integrated...any thoughts out there?

ANYONE HEARD THE YAMAHA A-S SERIES INTEGRATED AMPS?

I've just bought the A-S500 (influenced by typical Yamaha sound and What Hi-Fi review and price) and CD-S300, running a pair of Castle Knight 5's. Does a pretty good job for the price, likes being PLAYED and serious feel of quality. Will certainly reccommend it!

    Defender or Wrangler?

Legro, I've had the current model 3.8 V6 Wrangler now for 3.5 years and won't swop it for anything else in its class!

    Castle Accoustics

Yeah they call it Twin Pipe Technology, certainly helps a lot when placement is mostly governed by the decorator of the house... They are very well finished, apparently use "deep-cut, crown veneers" which are matched in pairs. Beautiful twin binding posts in gold, even the plinth spikes look...

    Castle Accoustics

Not sure if you are still interested but I?ve just purchased a pair of Knight 5?s which are running in at the moment and so far I?m very impressed. They are extremely well built and finished and the plinth system on the floorstanders keeps them standing rock solid. Initially I auditioned the...
