I have solved the hum problem. The earth lead to the casing had to be re soldered. my Nad is a 3020i and sounds great.I will not be doing any alterations or mods 

Good day all  I have fitted a new BD140 transistor.Amp works but hum coming with music.when I turn down volume control amp is beautifully quiet.With input leads disconnected hum is still there.

Hi .This amp is not going to sound any better by changing components .It is a very simple circuit . only change parts that are necessary.I have tried that a few times, there was no improvement  at all.

I also have a Pure i20 and the only way to use it is via the coaxial input of the maverick that means the ipod input has no benefit.

I learnt from Ryen the owner of Maverick that the ipod input to the tubemagic D1 is analog in and not adigital in I was suprised. Any coments on that

Good day to all.I have a Nada L40 tuner amp and CD player combination. At the back there are two RCAs marked NAD link  would that be a digital in and a digital out? incidental they are yellow in color

I brought  this amp home and to my surprise this little amp is in its original condition not a screw or washer  missing. Inside never ever worked on going to give it a test in my system tomorrow
