I cannot for the life of me believe nobody mentioned the kef ls50... With decent amplification and a great source they.punch about their weight . Due to their point source nature they do some of the more advanced aspects.of sound quality . Great midrange , acceptable midbass , sound stage depth...

if i can add my 2c, all cables should be covered in that plastic corrugated sleeving, all banana plugs exactly the same. someone should swap cables, allow each person to "vote" 1-10 in different catagories... keep swapping cables, keep voting.. eventually.. a trend will emerge .. no doubt about...
