    Wanted vinyl: falling mirror

Speak to Kevin at RecordMad on 0834195912, he's got a South African section in the shop. Pretty sure I've seen it there before.

    Musica Selling Vinyl

The Nick Drake Pink Moon box set is the best version of that record I have heard... well worth it I think. Google the reviews of the box set, there is very positive comments about it on the net.

    Musica Selling Vinyl

This would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Go have a look at the download card that comes with the record, it does have an expiry date on it. I checked the St Germain Tourist record and it is there, in french for all to see - the download expired in June 2012. If you have been buying vinyl...

    Musica Selling Vinyl

Not sure why you believe expired downloads is Musica's fault, it is not. They are merely facilitating the supply of items to consumers that want those items. The record company is the only party at fault, if there is a fault to be found. They provide a download as an added bonus when the records...

    Feeler AT OC9Mk2

Just fitted a Sumiko Blue Point No 2 and I think it rocks. Definitely in a different league to the Ortofon 2M Blue if that is what you are referring to and less hassle than importing. speak to Hi-phibian on this forum.

Is this vintage ? (Technics P50)

I read somewhere that this player was literally Technics' 'CD version' of their 1012 turntable. It was specifically made with the same cast base (cant see this in the pic properly) and feet as well as the variable pitch slider you see on the right. I think the article appeared in the HI FI News...

Permanently getting warps out of a vinyl record. What have you tried that works that is not a USD300

Have a look at this - not outrageously expensive at all and works along the lines of the two glass sheets and oven, except these are metal - http://vinylflat.com/  There is also a video on the net as well - just google 'Vinyl Flat Record Flattener - YouTube'

    Bench drill

I use a large Ryobi bench drill that had a mild wobble but the bigger problem I had was that the standard chuck couldn't take really small drills as the jaws left a little gap in the middle. I then bought a Torkcraft chuck with jaws that completely close at builders for about R200 at the time...

    B&W Speakers

I use a pair of 705's bi-wired with twin runs of Kimber 4PR driven by a Quad 909 poweramp. Initially these sounded a little bass light, it was then recommended that I bi-wire them. This certainly cleaned up the sound and added to the bass but was not an all out solution for the light bass. Then...

    Netbook as music server.

Would a netbook (with an external HD if more space is needed) running iTunes into a DAC then your hi fi handle it as a music server? Thinking being I don't have to use my company laptop all the time and the netbook is nice and small and can stay connected on the equipment stand even when not in...
