    The Whisky thread

Everyone I know who used an app has given up and turned to excel. So no help from me I'm afraid.

I don't have a Lagavulin 16 on the wall for the opposite reason. So all down to taste. If you like lightly peated then perhaps try the Kilchoman 100% Islay - that is only 20PPM (phenol parts per million) rather than the 35PPM of the recent Lagavulins.

    Preferred streaming service

Thanks for that - as a Node user that makes a difference for me.

    Preferred streaming service

For me the main drawback of Tidal is the app. At some stage need to put the effort in to see how much better Qobuz might be as I haven't tried it previously.

Cars that were tuned in South Africa

As I recall the M400 had lots of upgrades on it. But largely the same.

A nice history of the project.

Probably Chris Davison - also has a white superboss in the garage.

Remember the Tredia (non turbo) as having a 4 speed with high and low gears. As a kid seemed odd in a road car.

Safety not included. One of the reasons I finally got rid of mine.

Cars that were tuned in South Africa

Loved mine. But then pretty much everything was modified.

Wasn't the 90's Opel Rekord 3.8 a local version with the Europe chassis, the new Omega rear suspension and the Aussie motor combined?

    Stand alone streamers

Have a Node 2i (modded power supply which makes a difference even on streaming only as the internal DAC is diabolically bad) and have tried the Zen in my system. Marginally different sound (as I recall soundstage was deeper but thinner) on my system, but for ease of use the Node is streets ahead.

Had a few of them over the years. The cask strength usually brilliant. NAS though.

Yes - Indi bottling. Was brilliant value. Should have just bought it all out after first trying it.

FS - Other PRE-ORDER: LiFePO₄WER Lithium Batteries

Fitted mine yesterday at 17H10, power off at 18H00 to 22H46 and then 00H00 to 06H16. Average load for first few hours 300w or so, 170w since then, was at 94% this morning a few minutes before power came back on. More than happy with that. At no stage could I feel the battery heating up etc...

And still not even at the JHB depot. Aramex. Bad enough to make even the other courier companies look good. Still not arrived at JHB Depot. Aramex up to their usual self. If I had know you used them would have organised to pick up myself.

Can’t wait for mine to arrive. Though Aramex still has it in transit to JHB depot. Given my luck with them am hoping for delivery Friday. 😂
