I was in the mood for a project (waiting for Metalgrapho to deliver punched and bent metal for my ksa50 build) so I tried this VERY simple hybrid headphone amp.

I run a stereo set plus tube heater off one lm317 set at 12.6V

The positive edge starts clipping around 1.5V(tested on oscilloscope) but it all sounds great!

Next experiment will be to up the tube voltage a bit.
