Finished latest restoration project, USA made tombstone style radio. Condition of the cabinet was excellent for 80+ years old. Just needed a clean and wax polish. Biggest problem was to replace the old EM34 magic-eye valve. Had a NOS EM4 which is the same but has a side-contact base, so soldered wires on the contacts and converted it to octal base. Worked fine, nice and bright! As can be seen the dial lights up in segments depending on the band selected.
Love to hear it singing again after being silent for who knows how many years!!
