Out of the blue I got a Skype message from Austria. In the message Lukas asked if I can consider the possibility of parting with one slide. After a bit of back and forth it turns out he is restoring a Neumann Lathe and these two slides of mine are the only known two in the world he could trace.

So at the moment we are discussing on how to get at least one slide and the threaded spindle screw and gears to him.

To me it is simply astounding how far a thread can reach and what wonders it can create!

Here is the thread Lukas' started after I said he should do so as it will create more parts and support for him as well. Lukas' Neumann thread.
