I wanted to build something for the DIY showcase, but this project will probably not be ready.
Some background:
I've planned this 2.5 way for some years already. Started with some ML-TL curved boxes (also some years ago), but ended up with a pair of 2-way stand-mounts instead. So its time to complete the project, but with some changes:
- it wont be curved boxes
- It will be reflex insted of ML-TL
Something about the planned design:
- 2.5 Way, but with no more than 3db BSC. The additional 3db that would usually be gained by on a 2.5 way, will be used to gain some LF extension.
I'm not sure how this will turn out yet
- 25mm soft dome tweeter will be mounted on a waveguide in order to achieve a lower x-over frequency without stressing the tweeter too much
I still have to get someone to turn me some waveguides.
This is what I've been up to the past two weekends so far. NOTE: It is not been glued yet.
