2 Samsung tvs in the house and remote controls

I replaced my Sony in the bedroom with a Samsung 40es7500 and also have a 46" Samsung downstairs. I use a remote blaster so that I can change the hd pvr channels upstairs and of course every time I turn the upstairs tv on the downstairs tv goes on too, unless I use the voice command which kind of works on shutting off after I've repeated the command a few times but is near impossible to use to turn the damn thing on! Anyone have a useful way around this or am I going to have to resort to putting another hd pvr in the bedroom and getting rid of the remote blaster?
