2 way vs 3way

For sheer musicality which speaker desing perfoms best for music. i have found in my opinion the 3way design has more detail and more atmosphere information. i might be wrong could have been my ears playing tricks on me, but you guys probably know better that i, spread some knowledge to help a newbie out.

If this has been discussed previously please point me in the direction of the thread.
