24bit Flac -> TVix 5100SH -> GerDac -> Pre-Amp, worth it?

I am wondering if my model TVix won't downsample 24-bit files to 16-bit before sending the stream out to the DAC. If it doesn't, I would like to know if the GerDac can handle a 24-bit data stream. Could have just asked Gert the latter question but I know a lot of guys are clued up in this stuff.
