So a while ago I ordered a couple of Aurasound NS3-193-4a1 drivers for PC Speaker use.
Saturday morning decided to build a set, actually wanted to build two, but forgot to cut the seconds sets pieces.
Because of the driver vents being very shallow had to make some breathing room:
Added some isotherm, this is way too much, had to remove almost everything in order to have it sound better.
A nice flush mounted port
Sealed at the back just in case also.
The untrimmed box, quick listening test
Did a quick frequency response measurement.
I used 6 screws on a box to ease assembly. The rest is glue and clamped.
Sounds good, better than my current HT speakers, just needs a bit of EQ for the highs, still thinking about adding a tweeter perhaps.
That 3" really delivers more than you expect, now just need to tweak it some more
