Hi Everyone,
So I recently purchased a 4K projector, and now the next item on my list to obtain is a 4K Blu Ray player.
I've done some research and found that these are quite difficult to obtain in SA.
I found this thread from 2017 https://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,79485.msg924901.html#msg924901 where I believe the best one to get was the Panasonic DP-UB9000 (Which is still like R10K today! :faint: )
In addition to the Panasonic, I found a further 2 that may or may not be interesting.
- GMI Audio BD-U1000. There's not much specs for this one online, I have however attached a link to a website that is selling it. http://www.rendosaudio.co.za/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2133
- LG UBKM9. Found the manufacturers website, but not a website that sells it in SA. https://www.lg.com/us/home-video/lg-UBKM9-blu-ray-player
For some further information, the Blu Ray player will be the primary source of content for the projector. I will be connecting an external HDD to play "borrowed" movies and series as well so a USB port is a must.
At a later stage the Blu Ray will also be hooked up to a receiver which will have my speakers connected to it, so HDMI audio out would also be nice.
Anyway, I'm quite new to this world so any assistance would be appreciated.
