I have been gradually upgrading my HT setup and I am now at the point where (at last!) my entire set of 6 speakers are B&W 600 series.
Before acquiring a mint set of 685s, I was using my large JBL floorstanders as rears. I have seen many posts where people claim to have had great results in wall-mounting the rear (surround) speakers on the side walls, with the speakers facing each other and the height "at or around 5 to 10cm above ear level when seated"
Your comments and inputs on the recommended position and height for these speakers?
It is a rectangular room. I would prefer not to have to use stands again, as they would be in a position where a) space is wasted; b) the life of the 685s would be in danger.
