50" HD plasma for R5k @ Game

I have been looking at projector options, but this week I noticed that Game are selling a 50" LOGIK plasma TV (1080p) with a 36 month guarantee for R4999.

Are these plasma displays viewable and how much off are their black levels and colour rendition from a Samsung or Panasonic set after some setup? The price makes such a set very, very tempting!
