Guys - I am on a mission of designing a universal PSU for AC turntables.
After a lot of noggen scratching I thought it maybe simpler to "distill" an old design that I know for a fact works like a charm.
The Thorens TD125 mkI's PSU.
Design goals:
AC Power supply unit for both 12v - 24vac
& 110 - 220vac (via step-up transformer)
Frequency adjustable from around 35Hz to 65Hz
Speed selector (33.3 & 45)
Output voltage adjustable (trim)
Single box unit
Single phase
Potential of around 30VA
Please see the attachement. It is a re-rendering of the TD125's PSU. (2 phase, 16v)
Please note: DC Motor is NOT an option. This power supply must be universal. IE, you must be able to hook up any AC turntable to it.
Thanks in advance
