There have always been only 2 speakers which I have wanted to own in my lifetime. The first was a pair of Meridian M2's which I saw and listened to at a hifi show when I was a young lad, and the second was the AE2's. I had never heard them, but when I first saw them in a hifi mag with their matching stands,I just had to have a pair.
I obviously seem to have a thing for dual bass/mid drivers !
A few years back, I managed to find ONE for sale on the forum with it's stand, it was close by, and the deal was done.
The search was on for a second one. I put out "wanted" ad's everywhere, mailed AE in the UK ( never got a response ) and eventually the novelty wore off, and it was stored in a cupboard.
A few months ago, all hell broke loose. There was a pair of AE1's in CT. I bought them. I now had a plan.
It's late. I type slowly, going to bed, so will leave a teaser pic and continue tomorrow night ;D
