So I've finalised my plans and just need to start collecting all necessary items but I've been pondering this for a couple of days now without any conclusion.
I know the standard guage for effectiveness here on AVF is "if you can blow through it, it's good", but this is a little vague and open to interpretation. However I was thinking, even my curtains cut some presence from the road outside, they're not especially light or porous. and the rest of the frequencies are not cut much by them.
With that in mind, as diy-ers, have we been overthinking and overcomplicating the fabric used on acoustic panels? Does it really make such a big difference?
