Acoustic Research speaker cable - no way to tell polarity

i went into audiovision at the waterfront a few days ago and picked up some speaker cable. ( i asked for good cable )!

Am busy connecting it, but there doesn't seem to be any way to easily tell the polarity.

It's Acoustic Research pro series II 16 Guage Oxygen Free! it was around R16 per metre...

Are you meant to follow along the cable and read the writing on it or what? I like a nice solid stripe!
