I am new to the site after browsing for a while, decided to join. I need some advice in terms of my system. I have a Yamaha 767 receiver and had Wharfedale 8.4 and 8.1 running from the receiver. I recently replaced the Wharfedales with B&W 603 s3 and 602 s3. I think the amp made the Wharfedales sing beautifully, but "struggles" with the B&W's. I have to drive the amp much harder to get same volume level I had with the Wharfedales.
The front speakers are bi-wired, do I need a power amp to get the most from these speakers?
