I need some advice. A month ago I started out very excited looking for a home theatre sound setup (receiver and surround speakers). I now now find myself more confused than excited by the bewildering array of options out there. I have the following:
Mecer 37" LCD
Xbox360 + HD DVD drive (on the way)
PC
DSTV
I am using the sound on the TV at the moment which is terrible. My max budget is R10k. I realise that this is very modest but it's all I can afford for the forseeable future (house on the way). Please help, this is driving me crazy! So far I have listened to the following (both of which didn't blow me away):
Denon 1507 receiver with AR2000 5.1 for +/-R8k
Yamaha HTIB (not sure which one) R5999 at Audiovision.
