My setup is pretty basic as in PC--->Squeezebox Touch--->Rotel 1070----> B&W 330i speakers. No surround and no propects of upgrading foreseen.
Most of my music is from the CDs (with a couple of MFSL copies included) My Pink Floyd above is a hybrid CD. Would I benefit anything in getting someone to rip it as a SACD ? I've just ripped it as a normal 16bit CD.
I saw the other day that DSOTM is out on Blu Ray.
Would my basic setup do justice to the higher bit rates available out there ?
Ignoring vinyl for the moment is there a pecking order for ripping CDs....sort of Blu Ray first , then SACD, then MFSL then CD etc .... .or am I on the wrong track here ?
