Advice on HD PVR decoder installation

Hi guys

4 months ago I bought a 50" Panasonic plasma tv and a HD PVR decoder to complement it.

I am already enjoying the tv but the hd pvr decoder is still in its box in my cupboard because I am not sure how to proceed forward with the installation.

Do I call the dstv contractors for an installation or can I just plug it in myself and call dstv to marry the smartcard to this new decoder?

I am currently using the old 910 decoder.

My immediate requirement is just to be able to watch the HD channels on dstv.
