I'm an occasional lurker around here and was hoping I could get some advice on putting together a starter stereo system.
Most of my music is digital and I don't plan on expanding my small collection of CD's.
Taking that into account, I'd need speakers, cabling and an amp, right? DAC?
The amp would need to play from HDD or portable media player.
Budget is approx R8k and I'd be open to buying pre-owned gear if available.
I don't know much about HiFi, so advice would be appreciated.
