I have decided to dip my toe in the water and have committed to buy a turntable, (http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,34282.0.html) I will pick it up on Monday from Sergio. It does require some work, belt replacement and also not sure of the condition of the stylus / cart and not sure what else. Any advice on who to speak to get it up and running would be appreciated.
For the moment the turntable will play throughout the onkyo 809 as it has phono in.
One further question, where do you get decent interconnects, most av shops only stock snake oil cables and the general electronic stores only keep ellies (or similar) cables (or will these work?).
