Hi
I was wondering if someone out there is able to advise me. A little over a year ago I bought a Marantz SR5008 that was less than a year old at the time. As luck would have it something has now failed and when I took the unit to the agents (in Durban, who then sent it to the Marantz repair centre) I was quoted in excess of R8000 for the repair alone because the main board would have to be replaced.
Since that is more than I paid in the first place, it hardly seems worth it. Shall I call it quits? Is this kind of failure acceptable? Is there no way of repairing without replacing the whole board?
Advice, please!
