??? Eventually I saved up enough and purchased Amp Onkyo SR502E
DVD Onkyo SP503E
B&W 704 Front
B&W 685 Surrounds
B&W ASW 608 sub
Dali Lektor 1 Center
Now I have a problem adjusting the sub!! My previous Jamo sub I gave away as I could never adjust it to my tastes and it sounded "untimed" if that is the right terminoligy.
Now I have the B&W set-up and sound and it still sounds like the bass arives after the the sound from the fronts i.e. the base is too "late"?!!
I have set the distance on the Onkyo amp perfectly, moved the sub around, played with the settings like:
Low pass frequency and filter
Bass extension switch
EQ and Phase switch
as well as the volume
I have set the cross over on the amp to different levels etc.
I have moved the sub from standing to the right of the fronts to the right and then the middle and still the bass arrives too late/ after the rest of the sound.
I am doing something wrong and I dont know what??
I bought the B&W 704s instead of the new models as they sounded "terminology I dont know again" sweeter/ less bright/ mare natural. I bought them even though some reviews I read said they were better suited for movies and not music I prefer.
Was hoping someone could help??
I am at a stage where I am willing to pay for someone to come and do a set-up for me!
