I have decided to put an air conditioner in the lapa. This might sound crazy. The lapa is a freestanding structure and totally enclosed. This is where we kuier and entertain all the time. It also doubles up as our boardroom (my wife runs our company from home).
In summer it is fantastic, but in winter it can be cold.
We have tried a butane heater but the place is just too big and the heater is constantly out of gas (it runs about 3 times on a bottle).
Butane heater:
We were putting in an extra Daikin in the new TV room and decided to get a quote for the lapa. It had to be a heat pump and cooler since it has to heat up the whole lapa in winter. It did not need all the bells and whistles of the ones in the house but it needed to be a brute, and a brute it is.
