After spending most of the day redoing the wiring in my home theater room, the HDMI over Ethernet no longer seems to work.

* 10m HDMI direct to projector from receiver works.
* Ethernet extender only seems to work when receiver is in setup menu (572p)

It has a little power unit, which I'm assuming isn't powering it anymore, tried another one of the same rating, also not working.

I've checked the Ethernet cabling, all pins active. Tried four HDMI cables in various configurations between sources/receiver/extender. Tried different HDMI ports on receiver and projector.

So... I recon something in the extender is shot. Probably the internals of the powering side of the transmitter.

TL;DR version

Is there an alternative out besides Ethernet extenders? I don't want to go through the hassle of finding one that works again.
