Hi All,
An interesting conundrum today.....As some of you know I have been getting onto the whole iPod thing quite heavily lately (here's where I duck!!) and for the life of me I really struggle to find any major (or minor for that matter) difference between my Arcam CDP playing a redbook cd or my ipod playing the same track with various formats (lowest being mp3 192 kbps).
I am wondering if this is a psychological phenonemon or is the difference just not there? I know the graphs depicting losses and roll offs etc show otherwise, but I don't listen in graphs.
It does lead me to believe however that the source is actually LESS important that the amplifier and speakers - in this case the common denominator......
Let the debate begin!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
