I placed an order with Amazon for 3 Music books for piano (beethoven and mozart sonatas) - I fetched them on Friday at the post office and nearly had a heart attack.
The box was not an amazon box but Typek paper box and was mangled as if driven over by a truck. The books are bent, doggy eared, have damage on the spine and what looks like water logged discolouration. The post office claims that it could have been damaged in customs. While I would like to blame those useless good-for-nothings, I think that it is DHL as the tracking still says undelivered - so I suspect they damaged the parcel before it got to the post office.
Nevertheless, as Amazon is known for their great service, they are sending a replacement free of charge. I have to send the damaged books back to them. Any suggestions as to which postal/courier service to use? They require I send it with a service that has tracked shipment. Which would be best for international postage? are DHL/Fedex/UPS the only options?
